The 1885 Dunfermline Athletic Business Club is delighted to announce that today it has handed over a  donation to the football club of £10,000. This has become a regular occurrence since the Business Club started in 2013/14 at the start of each season to sponsor the team bus and travel costs.

The Chairman of the Business Club, Garry Davidson noted “I don’t think any of us could have foreseen that the world and, not least football, would be turned upside down as it has in the past 18 months. Thankfully, it looks as if we are edging back to some kind of normality and it was great to see fans back at our away game at Spartans during the week. Hopefully, we will all be back at East End Park very soon to watch our team. I would again like to thank the 1885 Business Club members who have stuck with us during this time and continued paying their subscriptions which has essentially allowed us to make this latest donation. We are tentatively pencilling in events for the forthcoming months but, clearly, that is still subject to the extent of restrictions we will be living under. We are all looking forward to better times as the new season gets underway with Peter Grant at the helm and some great new signings.”

The 1885 Dunfermline Athletic Business Club was set up in 2013 as part of the football clubs’ wider community programme to establish strong links with the local West Fife business community which has historically  been a  strong supporter of Dunfermline Athletic FC.
